Job Description

Position: 

SIA Licensed Nightshift Security Officer – Warwickshire


Schedule: 

42 hours per week, 4 on / 4 off nightshift (18:00 – 06:00)




Who are we looking for?


We are seeking a highly skilled and professional SIA Licensed Security Officer to provide a secure and safe environment for staff and visitors at a key site in Warwickshire.


You will be responsible for access control, visitor inductions, planned and ad-hoc patrols, and ensuring all security procedures are followed. In the event of an emergency, you will follow prescribed escalation and communication processes with site management, colleagues, and emergency services.

What you will need:

  • A valid SIA Front-Line Licence (essential)

  • A full UK manual driving licence (essential)

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and work to deadlines

  • Professional appearance and attitude at all times

  • Ability to meet BS7858 vetting standards



What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintain overall surveillance of the site through regular patrols and monitoring systems.

  • Control site access, ensuring all visitors, staff, and contractors are correctly logged and briefed.

  • Record entry and exit of deliveries, completing paperwork in line with site procedures.

  • Monitor and manage alarm systems, ensuring correct setting and un-setting protocols are followed.

  • Complete all required reports including daily logs, incident reports, and shift handovers.

  • Remain vigilant to risks, applying security procedures at all times.

  • Ensure all Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and safety documents are understood and followed.

  • Maintain up-to-date training records, including fire marshal and first aid certification.

  • Apply SIA skills professionally, with your licence displayed at all times.

  • Carry out additional duties as directed by management.
